ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA

  • Candidate must have passed their 10+2(sr. secondary education) with minimum 50% marks with PCB (physics, chemistry, and biology) from any recognized board.
  • Admission: – Admission will be on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance exam (NEET).
  • NEET Cut off (2020): – For General Category: – 147 marks, For reserved category: – 113 marks.

UNIVERSITY INFORMATION

Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS) was set up in 1994 and is one of the seven schools of Kathmandu University running nursing, medical and allied health science program. Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences is a collaborative program of Kathmandu University and Dhulikhel Hospital. The main office of university is on the Dhulikhel Hospital premises which is Kathmandu University hospital, in Kavrepalanchok District, Nepal.

KUSMS in association with Dhulikhel Hospital officially started its own medical training program, on 7 September 2001. The day is celebrated as KUSMS Day every year. Though the university is still widely known as KUMS, inside as well as outside the country, in 2006, it was renamed to Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences (KUSMS), to recognize the fact that it trains medical undergraduates and postgraduates, along with running nursing and allied health science programs.

The university has a good ratio of well-trained and highly educated faculty members having knowledge of modern technology with sufficient numbers of non-technical staff.
